5 Whys Challenge: Elad Sofer

eladLess than 3 weeks to go!

The conference theme, as you already know is “Hands on agility”. When you read into the program, you’ll see many workshops, where you can get your feet wet, or your hands dirty. Or the other way around.

You think I’m using “hands-on” figuratively? Think again.

In Elad Sofer‘s workshop “Glue, paper, scissors“, you’ll actually get your hands dirty. With glue, if you’re not careful. This is a great way to learn and teach about teamwork, collaboration and papercraft.

Let’s see what Elad (who’s also a founding member of the conference) has to say:
  • Why should people come to the conference?
Because it will be fun, Educational, Interesting, innovative, interesting and hands-on conference.

Because they will meet new people and make new friends.

Because budget-wise this conference will be the best learning investment they will make in 2016.
  • Why should people come to my session?
To experience how real teamwork can feel like, and learn one idea on increasing collaboration in their own teams.
  • Why did I choose this topic?
For me, teamwork is one of the most important and most difficult topics to succeed with. Sharing this idea with the community may help people in their journey towards real teamwork. 3 reasons:

Because i think that building trust is an important topic that most of the industry still “doesn’t get”.

Because Olaf is a really cool and smart person, which i enjoy learning from.

Because my session is in the same room right after his, which will save me time and energy 🙂
  • Why is the word for a fear of long words, hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia, so long?
  • Don’t know why, but this is a really good example for YAGNI.

Just a small warning: Those scissors? Don’t go running around with them. Now go register.
